Generally Dark themes work best for me in RubyMine
- Github Dark
- Light/coloured text stands out against dark backgrounds
- Editor doesn’t feel like a blinding light
- Code becomes the focus
Light themes
- macOS Light
- Working outside or in high light levels
- Felt a bit clearer to read other text labels but not so comfortable with code
